Guanacaste

Guanacaste is the province that sets new records on tourist visits. Expecting more than three hundred thousand tourists for this next season (2005-2006). Thanks to investors who believed in Guanacastes potential, like the Four Seasons Resort, Peninsula de Papagayo Development, Hacienda Pinilla project and many others, Guanacaste has become a hot spot on the world's map, and the favorite tourist destination for ecotourism.

PLAYAS DEL COCO (Coco beach), is a small fishing village with just three thousand people. Only 25 minutes from Liberia International Airport (LIR), fifty minutes from Liberia (major city and Capital of Guanacaste), and 20 minutes form the Peninsula de Papagayo project. Also located on the Papagayo Peninsula.

Liberia is the provider of all the basic services, including the major hospital that complies with all the international standards.

The province of Guanacaste has spectacular looking beaches, both with black and white sand, islands, turtle nesting areas, nice spots for diving surfing estuaries, savannahs tropical dry forest, swamps transitional forest, rain forest, national parks, national refugees, rivers and many other interesting places to visit due its rich culture.
